Jackson Hole

As some of you may know, I went to Jackson Hole with some friends, for my birthday.
And it was one of the most incredible vacations I've ever had.
We went on numerous hikes, bike rides, runs and 4-wheeler rides with the Grand Tetons as our view. It was truly magical. We went to Yellowstone National Park, they had a surprise birthday party for me and my favorite part, we were able to climb a mountain.

This is a moose we saw on one of our hikes.

Lilly & I

Our view from the top, on a hike we went on one day.

Lilly and her family were so gracious to let us stay in their house for 10 days.

San Francisco

Thank you Brett & Kelsey for a FABULOUS time in San Francisco.
Y'all planned such great things and we had the most fun ever.

One of our most favorite things was the Oyster Farm.  Brett & Kelsey prepared a
picnic and we drove to an Oyster Farm and ate raw oysters and we
grilled oysters.  It was the most fun experience
and the oysters was scrumptious.

This is us at the Oyster Farm!

We went to the the Academy of Arts & Sciences.
This is Bethany & I sitting in the "Papa Bear Chair".

And of course, the famous Golden Gate Bridge and Golden Gate Park.

And a great surprise for Randy was:
On Father's Day, Brett & Kelsey took us to Golden Gate Fields
for the horse races.  Randy loved it!
That was soooooo sweet!

Kelsey prepared a delicious dinner for us.  Thank you Kelsey!
It was so good and you even brought us "It's It's" for dessert.
They were almost as good as your delicious meal.

There were MANY highlights of the trip, but another special highlight was
our "ALCATRAZ" night tour.  It was very interesting.  Randy was especially excited
because he has always been fascinated with Alcatraz and the history of the prison.

OVERALL, our entire trip was amazing!
Thank you Brett & Kelsey for being such a great
host & hostess and tour guide and
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING CHILDREN THAT YOU BOTH ARE.
WE ARE BLESSED!

Mother's Day Cuteness

Bethany gave me a very pretty necklace and a beautiful personalized card for Mother's Day. Then she threw in this little "personalized carry-all surprise". I just had to post a picture of it since it was so cute!

Creative Streak

Last Saturday Dad cleaned the deck from all of the pollen. Everything looked so nice and refreshed. He even got creative and made this for me as a planter. Didn't he do good. Thank you honey for my lovely surprise.

It was a good day.

"Love isn't buying someone flowers or chocolate or a card, Love is God becoming flesh and dying on the cross for His creation."

I read this quote yesterday and it really encouraged me. Not because it was Valentine's Day but becaue of the truth that it holds. I think so often we take the love of God for granted but thank the Lord, His mercies are new every morning. I hope you all had a good Valentine's Day and I hope you are challenged and encouraged to strive to love the Father more every day. Like Mom mentioned in her post . . . Not only is Dad a wonderful husband to my mom, He never ever never forgets me on Valentine's Day even when I live an hour away. Below is a few pics from my day. One of my surprises from Dad - O'Henry's Coffee "Valentine's Blend". He knows me too well.

This was the highlight of my night last night. What a better way to spend Valentine's Day than with the Alabama Basketball Team?? I mean, we lost to Florida, but we still had a great time.

I Am Blessed!

As always, my Valentine always treats me to
"The 14 Days of Valentines"
which is a tradition that he created
JUST FOR ME!!

I am so thankful for my husband and
I make sure I tell God EVERY DAY
how thankful I am for the gift that he as given me.
Not because he buys my presents,
but because he is a
godly man and a godly father,
and his life is
an amazing example of godliness.

Randy
"God blessed me the day that I married you"
I love you!
Love,
Your Valentine

Alabama Theatre

The Alabama Theatre does a tradiiton every year called "The Holiday Film Series".
They open the theatre up and play old and new christmas movies the entire month of December.
It is so much fun to go to. So me & a few friends from church
went on Saturday night & saw "White Christmas"
It was so much fun, this place is so beautiful.

One of my favorite things about their Christmas movie series is the man playing
the old organ at the beginning. Everyone sings Christmas carols together.
This was our view. (pic below)

This chandelier is one of the prettiest things in the theatre.

Me & some of the girls in the group.

Funny/awkward story: This man(whom looks like Santa Claus) sat behind us during
the movie. I wanted to get my picture with him the entire time but kept chickening out.
After the movie was over, we walked into the lobby and saw him sitting in this chair.
We just jumped to the conclusion that he was obviously the santa for the Alabama Theatre.
So considering the circumstances at this point...I ran over, jumped in his lap and started chatting
with him. I asked why he didn't have a line of people waiting to sit on
his lap. Turns out, he WASN'T the Santa for the Alabama Theatre. He was just a nice old
man who happened to look like Santa. He was only sitting in the chair while he
waited on his wife and daughter to use the restroom. Let's just say everyone
got a good laugh out of the situation. He was a good sport though. And his wife and daughter thought it was quite hilarious when they saw what had happened.
I hope you are all having a great holiday season.
