This is just one of the drawings I've done this summer. It's a new gallery space I designed in an existing 18th century, Tuscan Villa in Gabbro, Italy. The floor is a glass plane floating just above the inversions of prior groin vaults. Cor-Ten boxes pierce through the large wood beam ceiling and the clay tile roof to allow light into the space.
More to come soon.
that's a tight drawing.
ReplyDeleteyou know i love that glass floor!
ACTUALLY, when I commented I did it on the email response which I thought posted as a comment. Sorry:) So I need to post on "comments" at the bottom of the pictures - right? Let's see . . .
ReplyDeleteThe glass floor is amazing! I also love the piercing light through the roof.
